Jorge Ayala-Isaza is a media artist whose practice explores issues of temporality, ephemerality and immersive experiences, with a current focus on themes of memory, identity, migration and revolutionary iconography in Latin America cinema.

Ayala holds a Master’s degree in Documentary Media, and a Bachelor’s in New Media from Ryerson University (Canada). He has also studied at the Hochschule der Medien in Stuttgart (Germany), and worked as a intern at the Cinematheque of Cuba (Havana). He’s currently based in Toronto (Canada) and works as a freelance interactive media programmer and producer, and spends studio time in Havana (Cuba) and Cartagena (Colombia).
